Dogeball is coming up fast! Sign ups start on Monday febuary 6^th. The tournament starts on febuary 20^th ! So sign up in room 237 with a team of 6.

La Habra annual talent show is coming up on February 8^th at 6:30 in the lecture hall. We have 17 different acts! Tickets will be sold for $5 at the door. Come see some amazing performances.

La Habra is teaming up with aeropastal and trying to collect jeans for people in need. We have collected over 100 pairs of jeans already! So be apart of this great opportunity to do something to help others. Please drop off your jeans in room 237!

This Saturday, February 4, ADVANCE! will be hosting a FAFSA workshop from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the La Habra Boys &  Girls Club.  Please bring your and your parents most recent tax information.  The workshop is free of charge.

Southern California Edison offers a paid internship. This is a great opportunity for a student to gain real work experience. See Mrs. Vasquez in room 10 for more information.

Advance! Will be hosting a FAFSA workshop this coming Sat., Feb 4, 2012 at the Boys & Girls Club help will be available from 9am to 1pm. Seniors keep in mind that the Financial Aid filing deadline is March 2, 2012. Stop by room 10 for a list of important documents you will need to complete your FAFSA.

Atten: All Sophomores

Please be aware that all sophomores that have completed 55 units for more by the end of their 9^th grade will be required to take the March CAHSEE. Students must show a current La Habra I.D. card to take the test. If you do not have a current I.D. card please see Mrs. Simonian in room 120 at lunch or after school on Wednesday’s. There is a $5 charge for replacement cards.

Club Tshirts are here. . . Spanish Club, Future Teachers, and GSA.  The shirts are ready for pick up in room 112, today, tomorrow, and the next day.  Get your shirt NOW in room 112 as soon as possible.  Any leftover shirts will go back to the print shop next week.

Attention Students,

The National Honor Society is hosting a book drive.  You have the unique opportunity to help the "Invisible Children" of Uganda by donating your used books.  Your books will be transformed into funds to rebuild schools and provide scholarships to students in northern Uganda.  Think about it, a book collecting dust in your bedroom can help a young child thousands of miles away.  You can make a difference.  Please drop off your books to room 67, the library, or give them to a NHS member. Thank you. 

Freshman ASB are selling valentine grams from the 2^nd through the 10^th. 1$ for laytex,$3 for mylar, and $5 for bouquet. DON’T MISS OUT!

Mount St. Mary’s College is sponsoring a Foreign Language Writing Contest 1^st prize is $250.00. Writing Contest is open to all grade levels. See Mrs. Vasquez in room 10.

Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors! You have the opportunity to spend eight days in Washington, D.C. this summer at the National Young Leaders Conference. You will be getting first hand experience in how our government works, meeting with our nation's leaders, and networking with students from all over the country. See Ms. Matsuyama in Room 131 this week to find out more.

The girls soccer program is teaming up with the salvation army and are collecting shoes. If you or a friend have shoes that are still in good shape please bring them in a bag to room 237. Help people in need by donating your unwanted shoes.
