NAMES OF AREAS AND BUILDINGS
I. Main Corridor - Argyll
Significance - Main street in Edinburgh, capital of Scotland. The most beautiful and well known street in Scotland
II. School Drive and Flag Pole Center – St. Andrew’s Way and St. Andrew’s Square
Significance - St. Andrew is a patron saint of Scotland
III. Twenty’s Row – McPray Lane
Significance - Named after the beloved first Principal, Mr. Walter Pray
IV. Thirty and Forty’s Row – Falkirk Road
Significance - Commemorating the battle where Prince Charles Edward defeated the English
V. Fifty and Sixty’s Row – Stewart Lane
Significance - The Pipers wear the Royal Stewart tartan
VI. Seventy and Eighty’s Row – Hollywood Place
Road to castle where Mary Queen of Scots lived
VII. Ninety and Hundred’s Row – Kelvin Way
VIII. Street between Gym and Snack Center (E & W) – Caledonia Way
IX. Cafeteria – Stewart Hall
Significance - Stewart is the Clan
X. Stadium – Highlander Stadium
Significance - La Habra High School students are the Highlanders
XI. Gymnasium – Stirling Gym
A famous castle around which the battles of Banockburn and Falkirk were fought and won
XII. Street between courts and Cafeteria (N & S) – Dumbarton Way
Significance - A town in Scotland
XIII. Corridor on west side at the end of 20, 30 and 50’s buildings – Glen Gillie
Significance - A small river used for transportation. Gillies are young attendants in Scotland (Freshmen).
XIV. Street in front of Snack Center, side of Gym (N & S) – Campsie Glen
Significance - Stirling Castle is situated on this road
XV. Pool – Loch Lomond
Significance - Named after a very famous lake in Scotland. Very beautiful. Scots are very proud of this lake.
XVI. Parking Lot – Carlisle
Significance - Dividing line between Scotland and England
XVII. Agriculture Building – Angus Hall
Significance - Scottish name for the finest cattle
XVIII. The Portables – The Hebrides
Significance - Outlying islands belonging to Scotland
XIX. Lennox Library
History - Family name given to the Prince of the Stewart Family
XX. Music Building – Henderson Hall
Named after the first music teacher at La Habra High School
XXI. Lecture Hall – Pitlochry
Named after a town in Scotland famous for its theater
XXII. Vending Area – Minch
A Whirlpool off the coast of Scotland
XXXIII. Patio area in front of Library – Sterling Shire Court
