DRESS FOR SUCCESS
It is expected that all students dress with appropriate taste in order that the
educational process is not disrupted. For the purpose of safety and continuity
of the instructional program, we ask your cooperation in making La Habra
High School a positive learning environment. Parents, when buying school
clothing for your students, please keep in mind our dress code standards. We
thank you for your support and understanding.
While on campus or at any school-sponsored event, students shall be dressed
and groomed in a manner which will neither adversely affect the instructional
program nor violate reasonable and acceptable standards of cleanliness, safety,
or appropriateness as judged by the principal and administration of
La Habra
High School.
The following items are prohibited:

Clothing or articles of clothing related to a group or gang which, in
the judgment of the principal/designee, may provoke others to
violence, disrupt school operations, or intimidate students and staff
members, including, but not limited to:

Raiders or Kings clothing or insignias
-
Bib-type attire with straps down
-
Bandannas, hair nets, initialed belt buckles, chains (wallet, watch,
key)
-
Long belts hanging down in front
-
Pants which were slit or frayed at the cuff line
-
Pants worn below the waist (sagging)
-
Pants which do not fit without a belt
-
Pants which have been altered to fit around the waist
-
Pants cut-off below the knee
-
Shorts below the knee that have been cut off and not hemmed
-
Shorts worn below the knee with socks up to the pant line
-
Dramatically oversized button-down shirts, white t-shirts, or polo shirts
that have been modified with ironed-on creases or pleats on the front or
back
-
White ribbed tank top undershirts worn as outer garment
-
Clothing which advertises non-school related groups/clubs
-
Non-prescriptive dark glasses worn in the classroom
-
Clothing with inappropriate messages (e.g. alcohol, drugs, cigarettes,
sexually related, obscene symbols/pictures).

Undergarments without appropriate outer clothing or Outer clothing
which exposes underclothing.

Swimming attire
-
Hats that are not in school colors (royal blue and/or white), and
insignias not directly related to LHHS.

Spiked collars, spiked wristbands, or other clothing, jewelry, or
accessories which could pose a threat to student physical well-being
and safety.

Clothing that is excessively revealing for a school environment
-
Shirts
exposing shoulders and/or backs and/or midriffs (spaghetti straps, tube tops,
halter tops)
-
Ultra
short skirts, dresses, shorts
-
Low-cut
tops and blouses
