Welcome to the 2007/08 school year at La Habra High School, a California Distinguished School. The Highlander faculty, staff, and I are looking forward to having you join and continue the rich history and traditions established throughout the past 53 years.

 

La Habra High School offers a wide array of programs and activities that provide every student an opportunity for academic and personal growth. We encourage all students to look for the experience that matches his/her talents and interests. LHHS is proud of its academies: Heritage of the Americas, Navy JROTC, Marketing and Business Academy (MBA), Agricultural, and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID). In addition we offer courses in Forensics, Fine Art Conservatory Experience (FACE), 17 Advanced Placement courses, and a strong technical program including Regional Occupational Program (ROP). LHHS is a place where students excel both in the classroom and in extra-curricular activities.

 

Our strong athletic programs, extra-curricular, and co-curricular activities provide students with the additional opportunity to connect with LHHS. Students succeed best in high school by getting involved, feeling connected, and developing pride in their school as well as their community. Being involved makes school meaningful and relevant which is essential to high student achievement.

 

We encourage parents to get involved in PTS, booster clubs, or join other committees throughout the school to increase communication and build a stronger partnership with LHHS. Our desire is to be partners in your student’s education.
