Forensics Police and Fire Academy (FPFA)
FPFA – Forensic Police and Fire Academy
The Forensic Police and Fire Academy (FPFA) is an immersive, four-year Science and ROP career pathway designed for students interested in forensics, law enforcement, fire service, emergency response, and medical careers.
FPFA places students at the center of real-world investigations and public safety scenarios. Through forensic-themed Biology, Chemistry, and Human Anatomy & Physiology courses, students explore the science behind evidence analysis, human systems, trauma response, and emergency medicine—bringing classroom learning to life through hands-on application.
Students train in authentic investigative and emergency response environments, learning how to process crime scenes, analyze physical and biological evidence, document findings, and respond to medical emergencies. Specialized coursework includes Forensic Science Investigations, Introduction to Fire Technology, Introduction to Medical Careers, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). These courses emphasize applied science, technical skill development, teamwork, and professionalism.
FPFA students work in a state-of-the-art training center and forensic laboratory, using professional equipment to examine microscopic evidence, fingerprints, trace materials, and biological samples. Students are also trained in advanced crime scene documentation and mapping techniques, utilizing modern investigative tools and technology used in today’s forensic and public safety fields.
The program provides strong college and career readiness opportunities through ROP coursework, industry-aligned certifications, and advanced training experiences that prepare students for postsecondary education, academies, and the workforce.
FPFA is more than a high school program—it is a launchpad for students who want to investigate, respond, protect, and save lives. Graduates leave FPFA with the skills, confidence, and real-world experience needed to pursue careers in forensic science, law enforcement, fire science, emergency medical services, and medical professions.
